How to Check Load Balance for Globe, Smart, Sun, TM, and TNT

Need your remaining prepaid load now? Globe or TM: dial *143# or open GlobeOne. Smart or TNT: dial *123# → Bal:Svcs → Balance or open the Smart app and select Check Usage. If you used a Sun Prepaid SIM, start with Smart’s method: Sun Prepaid subscribers were moved to Smart Prepaid.

Dual-SIM tip: choose the correct SIM before dialing. A balance returned for SIM 1 does not tell you what remains on SIM 2.

Globe and TM: check regular load and data separately

  1. Select your Globe or TM SIM and dial *143#.
  2. Open the balance option shown on your screen. Read the regular-load amount and its expiry, if displayed.
  3. For data or an active promo, open GlobeOne, link the number and inspect its usage or plan details. Refresh the dashboard after a recent transaction.

Globe directs customers to *143 for a load-balance inquiry. GlobeOne supports both Globe Prepaid and TM. A data allowance is different from peso load: one can remain while the other is zero. For a data-only check, Globe also documents texting DATA BAL to 8080. That response is not your cash-load balance.

Smart and TNT: use *123# or the Smart app

  1. Choose your Smart or TNT SIM and dial *123#.
  2. Select Bal:Svcs, then Balance. Follow the on-screen prompts if the menu order changes.
  3. Alternatively, open the Smart app, sign in and tap Check Usage to view load, active subscriptions, usage and expiration.

Smart says its *123# balance inquiry and app route are free of regular load and data charge. Some Smart help pages call the app GigaLife; other current pages call it the Smart app. Look for Check Usage rather than relying on an old SMS keyword.

What happened to Sun Prepaid balance checks?

PLDT reported that Sun Prepaid subscribers were rebranded to Smart Prepaid on 21 October 2020. For an active former Sun Prepaid number, try Smart’s *123# → Bal:Svcs → Balance route. If the menu does not recognize the SIM, check the account in the Smart app or contact Smart support before adding load. A legacy Sun postpaid account may follow different steps.

Balance looks wrong after loading?

  • Confirm the number: compare the top-up receipt with the 11-digit number in the carrier app.
  • Refresh: reopen the app dashboard and then check the USSD menu again.
  • Separate balances: peso load, promo minutes, data and borrowed-load debt can appear in different places.
  • Keep proof: save the transaction ID and time. If payment posted but load did not, contact the carrier’s official help channel.

Quick answers

Can I check balance with no regular load?

Smart says its *123# inquiry is free of regular load and data charge. Globe says dialing *143# to check balance is free. App access still requires a working connection and sign-in.

Is DATA BAL to 8080 my Globe load balance?

No. Globe describes DATA BAL as a data balance check. For peso load, use *143# or the GlobeOne account view.

Does a 0917 or 0918 prefix tell me which code to dial?

Only as a historical clue. A number can keep its prefix after changing provider; our mobile number portability guide explains how the switch works. Use the code for the network currently serving your SIM.
