The Infographics Show
If you’re fond of scrolling around your Facebook newsfeed, chances are you’ve already seen one of The Infographics Show’s videos. The channel dedicates itself to creating animated motion infographic videos that have been creatively conceptualized in order to present facts in a fun and engaging way. Their videos cover a wide range of topics, from medieval torture devices to the worst pandemics to ever hit mankind- you could spend hours watching them and never get bored!

TED-Ed
A spinoff of the nonprofit organization TED (yes, the one with all the talks), TED-Ed produces animated videos to display facts and ideas in a creative way. Since TED is all about the spread of “great ideas”, the videos are collaborations between their highly-knowledgeable academics and talented animators. The channel produces around 2-3 videos per week, each one incredibly informative and interesting.

WELT Documentary
Describing their videos as “beyond the headlines”, WELT documentaries tackle topics that aren’t normally seen on the news. The channel mainly features European history, space, aircrafts, and wars, all of which are responsible for shaping our daily lives as we know them today. Interestingly, “Welt” is the German word for “World”, which you will get to learn more about when you watch their videos.

SciShow
Science explains a lot of the things that are going on in our world right now. The SciShow channel attempts to help us understand how and why things are the way they are by using facts and scientific experiments to explain them. The channel releases a new video every day so you’re never going to run out of videos to watch.

If you’re one of those people who constantly think about “what ifs”, then this is the perfect channel for you! Those two words open up a world of possibilities and encourage minds to think beyond the box. The What If channel tackles all sorts of different topics about the world and uses science and facts to debunk and confirm some of the world’s most popular myths and questions! From the mundane to the bizarre, What If’s got you covered.

If you want to expand your knowledge but not that much time to sit down and listen through a 10-minute video, then Vox is the channel for you. The channel contains perhaps the shortest videos on this list but that doesn’t mean they’re any less factual or informative. The channel also covers a diverse range of topics and you’re guaranteed to find a video that will quench your thirst for information.

Kurzgesagt – In A Nutshell
With a small production team that aims to “make science look beautiful”, Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell explains scientific theories using creative animated videos. The channel was launched about 4 years ago and has a whopping 11.7 million subscribers. It produces one video per month about topics you might not really think about but would love to learn about anyways.
