Netflix has become a household name for people who love movies and TV shows. Millions of people are subscribed to Netflix every month because they want the best selection of content at their fingertips. But how do you subscribe?
In this blog post, we show you how to sign up for Netflix so that you can enjoy all the benefits it has to offer.
What is Netflix, and how does it work?
Netflix is an online video service that allows people to watch TV shows and movies on their computers, televisions, or mobile devices. You pay a monthly fee for the plan you want (Mobile, Basic, Standard, Premium) and then get access to all of Netflix’s content in HD quality.
Once your payment is complete, you can immediately begin watching from any device with an internet connection by using your username and password.
How to sign up for Netflix
Step 1: Visit netflix.com/signup
Step 2: Choose which plan works best for you – Mobile (Php 149/mo ), Basic (Php 369/mo), Standard (Php 459/mo), or Premium (Php 549/mo)
Step 3: Enter your email address and create a unique Netflix username
Step 4: Add credit card information or PayPal account
Step 5: Create your Netflix password and enter it twice (make sure not to forget this!)
Step 6: Review all the details of your plan in a summary window, then click the “Start” button.
This will start an instant stream for you with no commitment!
- If you are using a credit card, make sure that there is enough balance on the card so that the charge won’t be declined when entering payment information.
- If you have any questions about signing up, contact customer service.

Which Plan is right for you?
Netflix has four subscription plans to choose from Mobile, Basic, Standard, and Premium. The first three are cheaper but will only allow you to stream on one device simultaneously, while the last one allows for up to four concurrent streams. You also get access to HD video with all of them, which is excellent if you want it.
The Mobile plan is Php 149/month. Good video quality in SD (480p). Watch on any phone or tablet. Computer and TV not included.
The Basic plan is Php 369/month with a free trial offer that lasts 14 days (and cancels automatically without any additional charges). This is perfect for anyone who wants Netflix’s massive library in lower definition streaming or those that don’t have much interest in watching TV shows or movies because this won’t provide higher quality content as the other plans do.
It includes ad-supported viewing, though, so if you don’t mind ads and want a lower-priced plan, this is the one for you. Good video quality in SD (480p). Watch on any phone, tablet, computer or TV.
The Standard Plan is Php 459/month with a free trial offer that lasts 14 days (and cancels automatically without any additional charges). This includes higher definition content in addition to all of the features from The Basic Plan, so it’s perfect for people who are interested in TV shows or movies but only need access on two devices at once because they’re not home often enough to stream everything on four screens simultaneously yet.
It also gets rid of those pesky ads, which can be frustrating when watching something important. Great video quality in Full HD (1080p). Watch on any phone, tablet, computer or TV.
Netflix Premium starts at Php 549/month with no free trial offered. This plan is perfect for those who want the best quality content possible and features HD video and includes Ultra-HD viewing. The downside to this great deal is that it can’t be shared with more than two devices, which makes it difficult if you have roommates or live in a dorm room.
How to use the app on different platforms – iOS, Android, PC/Mac
Netflix offers an app that can be downloaded for free on all of these platforms. Once you’ve opened the application, go to Your Account and select Sign in. This will allow you to sign in to your account on a different device or platform without having to enter any login information again.
Of course, you’ll need your email address and password each time, so don’t forget those! For PC/Mac, it’s best if you download the desktop version from Netflix.com rather than using it through Google Chrome as this has been known to have some compatibility issues that make watching videos difficult at times, especially when streaming multiple streams at once like with Premium plan subscribers who want four concurrent streams running simultaneously.
Netflix has a feature called “My List,” which lets you mark what TV shows and movies you want to watch in the future, so they’re easy to find later on. You can also see when new content is added that interests you, making it easier than ever to catch up on your favorite series without having to scroll through their entire libraries looking for something new every time.
This is perfect for those who don’t have the time or interest in watching all of Netflix’s catalog but still love being able to check out an episode here and there whenever they please while browsing other parts of the website too.
It also comes with this excellent search bar at the top where you can type in any word and instantly be taken to a page of content that has it in the title or description.
