Effective October 10, 2021, This is 70 year old company that we grew up with is shutting down. An appliance and electronics retail giant in the Philippines is closing its doors for good.
In a letter, Automatic Appliances Inc., president and CEO Geoffrey Lim said that the pandemic has caused tremendous challenges to their business and it is with much regret and trepidation that we share this news with you today.
As AAI winds down its appliance retail operation, we would like to assure you that we remain committed to honoring our obligations and that we intend to work closely with each of you to ensure a smooth transition and closing process.
In the same letter, it states in keeping in the brand’s legacy alive, we will continue to seek out parties that may be interested in using / adopting the “Automatic Centre” brand name moving forward.
On Behalf of the Lim Family, let me take this opportunity to express our sincerest gratitude for the unwavering support you have provided us over the past seven decades.
