Earlier today, news broke out about the Philippine Eagle Pamana getting shot dead. Pamana is a rehabilitated Philippine eagle and was just released into the wild June 12 of this year. The Philippine Egale Foundation (PEF) who found Pamana’s remains stated that its body had a 533 puncture wound and could have died approximately 9 days ago (Aug 10). The Philippine Eagle is considered as a “critically-endangered species” by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. While we mourn with the rest of the country on Pamana’s demise (and hope the people responsible behind this are put to jail), we would love to give a dose of hope for humanity with the following inspiring stories.
