The Department of Tourism has launched a new tourism campaign slogan, “Love the Philippines,” on the occasion of its 50th year anniversary. The aim of this campaign is to reintroduce the country to the world.

Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco emphasized that the new slogan reflects the Filipino hospitality, rich history, and diverse local cultures and assets. According to her, the Philippines has a lot more to offer beyond the commonly emphasized fun and adventure, highlighting the country’s megabiodiversity, rich cuisine, unique culture, significant history, and thriving creative communities.

According to Frasco, the Philippines’ intricacies and subtleties haven’t been fully revealed to the globe, stressing that the tale of the Filipino populace still remains unheard of. She stressed the importance of telling this story through the theme of love.

During his speech, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. regarded the new slogan as a “guidepost” for the tourism industry, aligning with the recently approved National Tourism Development Plan for the years 2023-2028. He pledged to continue promoting Philippine tourism, aiming to establish the country as a powerhouse in Asia.

The President highlighted that the campaign goes beyond promoting tourist destinations; it seeks to enhance the overall experience for every traveler. This includes promoting regional products, improving travel infrastructure, and championing green movements, among other targets.

President Marcos urged Filipinos to become ambassadors and influencers, playing a vital role in showcasing the Philippines as a top-tier tourist hub. He emphasized the genuine warmth and hospitality of the Filipino people, which he considers the nation’s greatest asset. The Department of Tourism, private sector, and all professionals working in tourism and hospitality were thanked by the President for their tireless efforts in showcasing the country.He encouraged them to continue driving the momentum of the tourism industry.
