Hustle: 100% Locally Made Athleisure

In honor of Women’s month March 2022, We decided to feature a local startup led by Eunice Galura, Hustle co-founder this is a part of our emerging women’s empowerment series.

Manila, meet Hustle – the newest athleisure brand on the block, and a strong contender with a special feature: Hustle is 100% locally designed and made.

“It was difficult for me to find quality, locally made athleisure that could be compared to the likes of international brands,” says Butts Solinap, co-founder of Hustle and a fitness instructor. “At the same time, we wanted to support local makers, and create something that Filipinos could be proud of.”

A unique feature of Hustle, made possible by local makers, is the monogramming service that comes free with every purchase of any sports bra or active shorts. The monogram goes up to three letters, and Hustlers have taken to customizing their initials, nicknames, and even their future married initials.

“But the most important, and at the same time the most challenging part of creating Hustle is the fit,” says Eunice Galura, Hustle co-founder. The different silhouettes, made with premium materials and Ultrastretch Technology, were created to compliment every body type. Their highly experienced team meticulously measures, sews, and monograms each item. “Our fabrics are light and soft, but they do the job when used for training,” Eunice adds.

And their clients (also called the “Hustlers”) have been taking Hustle everywhere. While typically used for working out, the fits were made with four-way stretch that enable people to wear them anywhere and everywhere. For instance, the band-less bra tops are so comfortable and versatile that they’ve been seen with jeans for errands, or with palazzo pants or skirts for date nights.

“When I see people of all shapes and sizes wearing Hustle with smiles on their faces, looking so beautiful and amazing…it definitely sparks joy and gives me a sense of accomplishment,” Eunice says.

Hustle most recently launched their website (now live at hustlemnl.com), and a Kids Collection. Their Kids line, which feature Hustle’s signature materials, was born out of a desire to be more sustainable. As such, the Kids Collection helps minimize wastage from the adult collection, and is custom-made, similar to the adult line.

“We believe that hustling takes many forms,” says Butts, “and we wanted to create unique, functional, and comfortable clothing that hustles with you.”
