About Sulit.PH

The word Sulit in the Filipino language connotes “value for money” or “being worth it,”

In commerce, everyone aspires to get the most value for what they pay for. Inevitably, this motivates entrepreneurs to create the most value-laden products or services for their customers.

This value desired by both buyers and sellers – being “sulit” – is the cornerstone of Sulitpreneur Inc., the company that owns and manages the website Sulit.ph. The founders, whose careers were built in the telecommunications and information technology (IT) sectors, envisioned building a solid e-Commerce brand that Filipinos can readily identify with. In this “Sulit community,” they have both the Filipino entrepreneur and the customer in mind.

Thus, in 2015, Sulit.ph was created by Anton Sheker and Jay Adevoso, high school friends and both avid tech enthusiasts who wanted to establish businesses that would actualize their passion. It was conceived as an Online Marketplace, conveniently accessible via desktop and mobile platforms, where Filipinos can avail of a large variety of competitively-priced, quality products and services offered by online sellers.

Initially, Jay and Anton were unable to dedicate all their time to the site since they were busy with their own successful tech consultancy services and businesses. Nevertheless, the partners found time to promote Sulit.ph in social media networks (primarily Facebook and Twitter) and the launch of Sulit.ph still proved to be a success.

With hardly any funds and dedicated marketing activities sustaining it, the site achieved phenomenal results in just over four years. (To date, over 80 million accumulated page views; 8.2 million viewers/users; 120,000 registered users; and a global presence spanning seven continents.) The business grew, and continues to grow, through internal technology tools, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies, and social media connections that reach a wide online viewership. Having started out as a “mere passion project,” Sulit.ph has since become a go-to site for customers looking for cars, motorcycles, mobile phones, gadgets, appliances, and even real estate properties.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”100px” el_class=”h-50″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator color=”custom” accent_color=”rgba(0,0,0,0.15)”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”100px” el_class=”h-50″][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][martfury_counter icon_type=”linearicons” value=”45″ unit_after=”M” title=”Products for sale” icon_linearicons=”icon-cube”][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][martfury_counter icon_type=”linearicons” value=”1.8″ unit_after=”M” title=”Sellers Active on Martfury” icon_linearicons=”icon-store”][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][martfury_counter icon_type=”linearicons” value=”30.6″ unit_after=”M” title=”Buyers Activie on Martfury” icon_linearicons=”icon-bag2″][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][martfury_counter icon_type=”linearicons” value=”2.64″ unit_before=”$” unit_after=”M” title=”Annual gross merchandise sales” icon_linearicons=”icon-cash-dollar”][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=”middle” css=”.vc_custom_1604648646351{background-color: #f5f5f5 !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_empty_space height=”100px” el_class=”h-50″][vc_column_text el_class=”link”]The succeeding years opened up more opportunities for Sulit.ph. In July 2020, Sulit.ph earned a major milestone when it facilitated the entry of the famed Dapitan Market to the online community. (To those unfamiliar to Dapitan Market, it is an iconic site in Quezon City that showcases Filipino- and Filipino-inspired items and goods such as furniture, kitchen and dinner ware, home decors and ornaments, native baskets, pottery, garden tools and supplies, personal care items, seasonal decorations, vintage and novelty items, and many other products.) When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in early 2020 and disrupted the operations of Philippine retail enterprises, Sulit.ph strategically worked on creating the first online presence of Dapitan Market to launch the Sulit.ph Dapitan Arcade Online Store via DapitanArcade.com. As expected, this new site was also a phenomenal success, garnering 13,000+ views on its first day, up to 310,000+ views within a week, and more than 2.7 Million within its first month.

Sulit.ph and DapitanArcade.com are well-positioned for opportunities in the current and post-COVID19 environments, especially with the growing need of consumers and entrepreneurs for quality, reliable, and user-friendly online/digital platforms and value-added services that will also make it easier and safer for them to find what they need, transact, and make purchases online using various payment modes. The pandemic has accelerated the need for households and business enterprises to adopt online platforms, and Sulitpreneur Inc. recognizes and appreciates this new normal. Aligned to the Philippine government’s intensified support for e-commerce and its push for the country’s MSMEs to participate in e-commerce activities, the company continues to explore, innovate, and create online venues where Filipino entrepreneurs and consumers can make secure and productive connections, and ultimately, help rebuild and revive Philippine trade and economy.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”100px” el_class=”h-50″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
