12 Best Steakhouses in Metro Manila – Must Try Steaks

What makes a steakhouse great? Is it the ambiance or the service? Or maybe it’s the food itself? Whatever it is, these restaurants offer some of the best steaks around.

Steak is a type of meat from cattle raised specifically for its beef. The term comes from the French word for cow, bœuf. In America, the term refers to cuts of beef taken off the rib cage (rib eye), loin (tenderloin) and sirloin (top round). These three cuts are considered prime cuts because they contain large amounts of tender, flavorful lean muscle tissue.

There are plenty of places where you can get good quality steaks in the Philippines. From fine dining establishments to casual eateries, you’ll find them everywhere. But if you want to try something special, then check out our list of 12 best steakhouses in Metro Manila.

How to cook the Perfect Steak?

How do you like your steak done?

Cooking steaks is something we all love to do. But cooking a perfectly cooked steak takes practice. Here are some tips to make sure you’re getting the best results every time.

1. Buy the Right Steak

Steak cuts vary widely in price and quality. For example, rib eye steak is generally much more expensive than strip steak. And a prime cut like T-bone steak may cost twice as much as a cheaper choice like sirloin steak.

You’ll also find different grades of beef, depending on the amount of marbling found within the meat. Marbling adds flavor but makes the meat harder to chew. So when choosing a steak, look for lean cuts with minimal marbling.

2. Season Before Cooking

Seasoning your steak before cooking is another key step to making sure you end up with a delicious meal. To season your steak, rub it with salt and pepper. Then let it sit for 15 minutes so the seasoning can penetrate the surface of the meat.

3. Cook the Meat Properly

After seasoning your steak, heat it over high heat until it starts to smoke. Reduce the heat to medium-high and continue cooking the steak for 3 to 4 minutes per side. Letting the steak rest after cooking allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

4. Don’t Overcook

Overcooked steak tastes dry and tough. When cooking steak, aim for rare to medium-rare. Depending on the size of the steak, you may need to cook it longer.

5. Serve With Care

Serve your steak immediately after cooking. If you wait too long, the juices will begin to leak out of the meat.

In conclusion, if you haven’t tried steak yet, now’s the perfect time to give it a shot. There are tons of steakhouses around the metro, but only a few stand above the rest. Here are 12 places where you can find the best cuts of meat in town.
