PHILIPPINES AREA CODES: Find City or Province Area Code to call

PHILIPPINES AREA CODES

Do you know any local or international numbers that you can call? Are you familiar with their codes? If your mind is racing about which code to use when you call someone, then this article is for you. Here’s your complete guide when calling anywhere in the country.

To call a specific number, you need to know its area code. You don’t need to include the area code if you’re contacting a number in the same area code as you. The number can be called immediately.

What is an Area Code? Zip Code

An area code identifies a region. The 3-digit prefix is the next grouping, which narrows the location of the phone number considerably. Finally, the last four digits indicate an address or telephone number, which identifies a specific line.

What’s the correct way to write your area code and country code together?

  • Sign (+) Plus sign.
  • An international country code represents a country’s location. The plus sign follows it.

Example. It is +63 for the Philippines, whereas it is +1 for the USA.

  • After an international country code, there is an area code.
  • Local phone number: Local phone number.

Regardless of where you are located, you must always include the area code when calling a landline number from your mobile phone. When you use your mobile phone to call a landline by calling the area code, you will still need the area code if you are in Manila.

You must include both the area code and the country code for those residing outside the Philippines; 63 is the country code for the Philippines.

A country extending over an archipelago in Southeast Asia, the Philippines is officially the Republic of the Philippines. Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are the three central geographical regions comprising 7,640 islands.

Several innovations made it possible for consumers to dial long distances on their own. By dialing the three-digit code in front of a phone number, the call would be routed to the correct region of the country. There was logic and elegance to the first area codes.

It was up to the people, the research arm of the regional phone companies, and the numbering plan administrator to develop a solution. Different methods can be used to assign new area codes.

You can split a region into two parts, keeping the old area code and getting a new one. To ensure a continuous supply of phone numbers, unique area codes are added to the existing ones.

Thoughts

Existing area codes or phone numbers will not have to be updated. However, all calls within your area code must be made using your area code + telephone number if an overlay has occurred. You will receive a recording instructing you to hang up and dial again if you do not follow this new dialing procedure.

A unique area code is a fantastic set of rules for communication. Most area codes consist of letters and numbers that are assigned randomly and have a specific significance.

No need to put in codes when you call from the same area or region.

You can use the prefix zero (0) before the phone numbers of international calls. When you make a domestic long distance call, you must include the area code of the destination. For example, when you are calling a friend in another city, you should dial 02-XXX-BBBB.

To make a call from outside of the country, more numbers must be added. You need two zeros (00) as the prefix for international call, the numbers 63 as the country code of Philippines, and the area codes of your recipient. Unlike local calls, however, it isn’t necessary to add the prefix zero before area code 32.

For example, if I am calling someone in Cebu province from outside the Philippines, You need to dial 0063-32-XXX-BBBB.  If you call from a Cell Phone, You need to Dial +63-32-XXX-BBBB
