Pagadian Explorers bounces back with win over Zamboanga Sibugay

The Pagadian Explorers got back on the winning track after they defeated Zamboanga Sibugay, 97-90, in the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas VisMin Super Cup Mindanao Challenge on Monday night at the Pagadian City Gymnasium.

Up by just two in the third period, the Explorers blew the game wide open, thanks to a massive 16-0 run sparked by Glenn Acaylar, Judel Fuentes, and John Quimado that resulted in an 81-63 lead with just 45 seconds remaining in that stretch.

“We’ve learned a lot from last night. We can’t be overconfident. Everybody stepped up from the first group all the way to the last group,” said Pagadian head coach Gherome Ejercito.
