NLEX Road Warriors runs over Alaska Aces

The NLEX Road Warriors thwarted the Alaska Aces, 106-89, to bag their second win in a row in the PBA Governors’ Cup on Wednesday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The Road Warriors set the tone early in the game by sinking seven trifectas to build a commanding 38-17 lead, one that they would not only hold but also extend to as much as 29 en route to the easy win. NLEX now totes a 6-3 win-loss card.

Import KJ McDaniels produced 27 points and 11 rebounds. The former Houston Rocket, though, struggled with his shot, making just eight of his 24 attempts from the field. Fortunately for NLEX, the locals stepped up led by Jericho Cruz who had 21 points, including consecutive three-pointers that kept Alaska at bay after they pulled to within 13.
