Guam Lets Filipinos With Dual American Citizenship or Valid U.S. Visa to Get Vaccinated in the Country

Recently, the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) announced that the Governor and the Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) had approved Air V&V. This program allows tourists to get vaccinated against COVID-19 Guam and vacation afterwards.

Through this vaccination tourism campaign, U.S. citizens living in the Philippines can receive vaccinations faster since Guam is the nearest and most accessible U.S. territory, just 3.5 hours away.

A low number of COVID-19 infections have also been reported on the island, and 75% of the adult population has been vaccinated, making the vaccination program safer and more organized.

In light of this progress, Governor Leon Guerrero signed an executive order today, June 30, 2021, exempting incoming travellers with a negative PCR test result collected within 72 hours of arrival on Guam from quarantine, effective at 12:01 am on July 4, 2021.

Guests eager to experience Guam’s breathtaking beauty are now welcomed to the island, thanks to the island’s tourism industry. Now that you know Guam is safe to unwind after this stressful pandemic, you are more confident to explore.

Suppose a negative PCR test result is obtained on arrival. In that case, participants in the Air V&V program can immediately enjoy the island while waiting for their second dose or their departing flight while they await their second dose. You can choose between Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen).

Thousands of businesses across the island have received the Guam Safe Certification and World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Safe Travels stamp recently, allowing travelers to identify health- and hygiene-conscious destinations around the world.

The achievement is proof that visitors can enjoy traveling again while having their vaccines administered without following the stringent and heavy safety protocols employed in the Philippines, especially when half of Guam’s population has already been immunized.
