As approved by the Toll Regulatory Board, starting Thursday, May 12, 2022, Cavitex (R1) Segment – PARANAQUE TOLL PLAZA will be implementing the following toll rates:
- ??Class 1 – Php 33.00
- Class 2 – Php 67.00
- Class 3- Php 100.00
Toll rates in the CAVITEX Paranaque Toll Plaza are set to change in May 2022, according to Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC), the concessionaire for Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX).
As a result of this approval, the Toll Regulatory Board approved the 2011 and 2014 contract tariff adjustments toll petitions of CIC and PRA, as well as its add-on toll petition for Phases 1 and 2 enhancements of CAVITEX R-1 Expressway completed in 2020.
The improvements done included asphalt overlay along the entire length of CAVITEX, the Pacific flyover and left-hand turn facility, as well as regular heavy maintenance works for the purpose of ensuring road safety and quality for the 160,000 average daily motorists using CAVITEX.
Starting from 12:00 AM of May 12, the approved petitions will charge an exclusive VAT rate of Php 4.62 per kilometer for Class 1 vehicles, Php 9.24 for Class 2 vehicles, and Php 13.86 for Class 3 vehicles traversing the 6.48-kilometer R-1 Expressway (from CAVITEX Longos, Bacoor entrance to MIA exit, and vice versa).
The new toll fee matrix will have the following amounts for motorists (VAT-Inclusive): Php 33.00 for Class 1 vehicles from the current Php 25.00; Php 67.00 for Class 2 vehicles from Php 50.00; and Php 100.00 for Class 3 vehicles from Php 75.00.
CIC and JV partner PRA will offer PUV operators and drivers a three-month reprieve from the new toll rates through a rebate program.
