All five members of the 2019 PBA Gilas Draft led by top pick Isaac Go have been released to the PBA teams that drafted them.

The development came to be after the five players did not renew their contracts with the Gilas Pilipinas men’s national basketball team after their contracts expired on January 31. This means that they are now eligible to negotiate with the teams that drafted them and can play when the Governors’ Cup resumes on February 11.

Go was taken first overall by Terrafirma while Rey Suerte was picked second by Blackwater. Matt Nieto was selected third by NLEX while Allyn Bulanadi was chosen fourth by Alaska. Mike Nieto was picked fifth by Rain or Shine.

Except for Bulanadi, who has been hampered by injuries over the last two years, the other four have suited up for flag and country in numerous tournaments. Go played for the Gilas on eight different occasions.

Meanwhile, Suerte averaged 6.5 points, 2.5 assists, and 2.0 rebounds in two games in the Asia Cup Qualifiers. Matt Nieto suited up three times for Gilas, norming 6.0 points and 4.7 assists. Finally, Mike Nieto played five matches—three in the Asia Cup Qualifiers and two in the Olympic Qualifiers.
